HELP, with my test drive, I want to buy one but the ride!
Hey gang, I like the XB alot, a really cool blank canvas, but.. I test drove one yesterday, stock, 15's and all and it rode really ruff. I live in Houston, Tx. Our roads here suck, I am sure the roads in bagdad are probably less scared with pot holes and the like. I do not want to lower it as my teeth can not take the additional jolt. I have done that before to many other cars for show and driving them just sucked. SO.. has anyone used 17's with some reall really soft rubber? Or is there another answer? I want one! I got to have bigger wheels but I figure that if I go with 18's or larger I will be toothless in a month. Thanks

Some have reported better ride with lowering springs, but for me rough roads do not go with lowered cars!
C'mon aftermarket, how about an "Olde F*rtes" kit with softer stock height springs and shorter skirts!

hey supervoid,
I work at Joe Myers Scion. if you would like to ride in one that has been lowered and has some 18" rims on it, I will have mine finished in about a week or so. The wheels are coming in this week and the TRD Springs and struts will be installed by Friday.
I have driven one with 18" rims and lowering springs and I can say that the sstiffer springs do help the ride a little. Less bouncey on the freeways.
I will be out of town for a few days, but I will be back on Friday. if you want to come by and take a ride, let me know. (281) 890-8700 - ask for Bret on Friday.
