hood shock dampers
They are not hard to install. These are what I have currently and love them:

Great install instructions included, but they do require drilling and a rivet tool.

x2 on the hood struts from redline tuning! love them.
...was a little nervous about dilling and riveting, but it worked great.
TWO quick tips:
1. Place a magnet near the drill points to catch the metal shavings
2. DO NOT follow the directions and rivet THRU the plastic air dam.
the dam removes fairly quickly. When I did ny springs, I removed it again to really get at the tower bolts, and I was very glad that I did not permanently attach that thing to the front fenders, as they instruct. Other than that, the redline tuning instructions are really, really good.

wow, I'm surprised someone still checked this thread. I got the Godspeed ones off Ebay shortly after I posted here, so I've have them on my xB for over a year and I have had no problems with them. no hood warping and they hold the hood up very well. I have no complaints but that's not to say the next person will not have issues. but that is the case with pretty much everything.
