i've driven 60 miles once. but i normally drive 20-40 past it.


i get like 25mpg but that's cuz i'm always accelerating fast and speeding. when i drive like a grandma i get 32

i went like 43 miles before my gril friend made me stop she told me if we run out of gas i will have to push the box to the nearest gas station.

i've been getting only 32 mpg lately, kinda sucks
i used to average 33-35 last spring.
worst was when me, my gf, her 4 year old and my buddy who's 6 foot 4 , 260 lbs. and all of our luggae went to Ohio and Indiana one weekend. I was getting 25 mpg straight highway on 4 tanks of gas! kinda depressing!

dude. 32 is good. are you like so tight and or low on money you have to scrimp on gas? if you are that tight on money get rid of the brand new car.

cause 32mpg is still WAY good.

and with a car loaded down on the highway 25 is still quite respectable. try it in anything that would fit the same amount of people and stuff and see how many mpg it gets.

and I wasn't being negative I was asking a question and posting my opinion on a train of thought.

If you know filters so well, you know that they also get clogged. and when the filter gets clogged, the pump has to work harder to meet the demands of the motor. Now when the motor works harder, its getting hotter, and if you are continually running the fuel low, the pump isnt going to be cooled as much as it should, which will sigificantly shorten the life of your pump. not to sound like an ___, just had to put things into perspective.

If I drive like an idiot, I get around 28 miles to the gallon by the time the light turns on, but if I drive mostly cruise on the freeway and don't mash the gas, I get at least 32 if not more. I actually had 400 miles in one tank on my way to cerritos from phoenix.

you could be a butt, because i never said anything to contradict the heat disapation of the fuel.
and the filter sock on the fuel pump has large surface area compared to a canister filter. also being freely suspended in the tank it does not get clogged as fast as a canister type one.

i am really just shedding light on the design of our fuel delivery system.
the other design is a funnel like setup. where the fuel pick up is on the bottom of the tank, this line goes to a fuel filter and then an inline pump.
this setup really picks up dirt from the tank and these filters do clog often....

our setup is much better..

im glad someone asked this question because i have been wondering. after it comes on I usually just fill it up around 20 miles later.
