Default I got some weird sounds, need help

Hey all, ok I got 2 weird sounds coming from my box.

Well when i start her up, like in the morning, after sitting for a while. I get a mild squeaking sound. It's kind of faint, and when the engine warms, it goes away.
I have a feeling it's the alternator, but I can't take it in for a warranty check because Im at 53k.

And the other issue, is again when the engine is cold. My exhaust sounds like there's water in it. I know it sounds weird, but it sounds like when I accelerate, no matter how slow, there's water in the exhaust or something.

Anyone got an ideas?

Slipping alt belt?

Water on the exhaust-check for leaks all the way from the head to the tailpipe-check air filter and air inlet connections and seals.

Just guessing

You could try to hit the belts with belt dressings or something like that...

Is 53k normal time to replace belts? How do I know which belt to replace?

Squeaking on startup - most likely the belts.
Water sound when accelerating, if it sounds like a gurgling from the front I would guess maybe you had the coolant changed recently & there is air trapped in the coolant system. Bleed the coolant system & see if noise goes away.

the only fluids that have been changed are oil. Never had anything else serviced.

do yourself a favor..and replace all the belts at the same time

the fact that you will not have a belt failure..makes it worthwhile

I agree with the belts. There are only 2, so just do them both at the same time. As for the water in the exhaust, if you do lots of short trips there may actually be water in there.

This choice is only temporary. Besides, you don't want that crap all over the engine bay either. Gets very sticky and is a pain to clean off. He probably needs his belts replaced, 53K miles is about right before they need replacing.

yea 53k is probably time to replace the belts, luckily we don't have a timing belt

and there may be water in the exhaust, could also just be the exhaust moving around
