It's all about choosing my battles. It's a balancing act that has kept us happily married for 20 years now. Besides, I kinda think it's a good move.
Well Said Matt! Enjoy the Versa Bro

Thanks! We got the Versa on Friday and we love it. It's a very solid & quiet car. I'm glad we opted for a few of the "goodies" like keyless start and bluetooth. I'm still surprised that Nissan offers those features on their least expensive car. Anyhow, it was hard saying goodbye to the yellow box. I think my wife almost teared up. It was a fun car to have.

How does the CVT drive? I've read that the Renault/Nissan CVT systems are pretty good.

That's what I've read too. Apparently, if you want a CVT, Nissan has the best one out there. That makes sense because they've had it in more models for the longest time.
So far we really like it. For the most part, it's pretty-much like driving a standard automatic trans. You don't really notice a difference unless you're looking for it. For instance, I notice that it never shifts, but my wife is oblivious to it. I also notice that when climbing a hill, there is no hunting for gears and shifting back and forth. The CVT simply adjusts the ratio, and it's done smoothly so you don't feel it. I can definately see why a CVT is supposed to be the best choice for fuel economy. It keeps the engine RPMs pretty constant. It's still very early to say for sure, but if I had to buy another car tomorrow, I'd get one with another CVT.

Yep, to each their own. I do think it's hillarious that owners of Scion xBs will say, "I don't like _____ car becuase of it's looks." My wife HATED the look of xBs when she first saw them. She was like, "who in the world would drive that ugly thing?" Needless to say, she grew to love them.

with the xB I find that people either love them or hate them..veru few in the middle ground..
the xB is certainly easier to notice than the versa

to me the versa..is just anpother of those small cars the more or less looks like all the other small cars.

the versa is a great car of you want to blend into the landscape..
I really like the looks and conversations with strangers I've had over my xB

like I said to each their own..not trying to cut down your choice...but it isnt a choice I would have made

No problem. I understand completely. I don't know if you read my first few posts in this thread or not, but the fact that the Versa blends in to the background was actually a selling point for us. The yellow xB attracted a little too much attention sometimes. It's kind of a releif to have a car that's not a target now.

Yeah. I've been reading a lot and I posted a few too, but the place isn't as active as Scion Life. Besides, I still own an xA so I'm allowed in here.
