Default Kit or performance parts with extra $$??

Hi all,

Since I decided to wait for the 05 xA's I have been saving what would have been my payments. After getting preapproved I don't even need it for down payment. I was thinking of taking the money and either getting a body kit or putting towards more performace type stuff, springs, intake, etc. Now because of cost I can only get one of these. I like some of the bodykits I have seen but lowering a bit interests me too. Any thoughts? Of course if the Red xA actually comes it is performance because red will kick butt by itself..

Here is an idea....get none of those and still use the money to pay off your car faster....its a different aspect.....try it...sometimes its nice to have a car thats paid off

My vote's on performance. FIrst thing is a drop and nice wheels/tires - those in itself should set you back ( or chip away ) at your savings nearly $2000.00.

Paying more on your downpayment will lower your monthly, but if you're comfortable with whatever monthly payments come out to be without - then SCREW IT! Basically, do you want a nice, highly affordable (STOCK) car for the first year and attempt saving for THE MODS at a later date (when your car is nearly a couple years old), OR do you want INSTANT GRATIFICATIOn in being able to drive in a SWEET MODDED RIDE...NOW!?

Shop around... you will be surprised at how much money you can save buying aftermarket parts and having someone other than the dealer install them. If you wait for the special edition XA, it is going to come with extra goodies like the Lava Boxes did, no doubt.

HI,

About the down payment and paying off the car stuff. For various reasons I will have the car paid off within a year so I have no worries or need to drop a down payment. That is not really a concern for me. So back to my question kit or performance. Also red will kick but because if I had a red xA I wouldn't want a kit. I think the red color will be good enough for me.

Show or Go first?

i say GO! once it gets a lil more kick... you then could make it look sweeter. Just my opinion

Of course, a balance of the 2 is very nice

In my opinion it's probably a good idea to get some performance mods done for your own enjoyment. If it handles better you will enjoy driving it more. On the other hand, this car will never be fast... but it will look great with just a couple of fairly simple additions. Put a intake and exhaust on your xA and then make it look fast. Not many people will know the truth.
