Default Knocking Sound coming from the XB

There is a knocking sound coming from the XB. When I give it gas or apply the brake or when the car is moving there is a constant knocking noise comeing from the XB. It sound like it might be from under the car but I am not sure. Whenever I go over a bump it is really loud. It seems fine on the highway but on the back roads it is really bad. I do not know what this is. I will have to get it checked out. What I do know is that this is not normal and should be covered under warrenty. Anyone else have this problem? My car was also in an accident and they replaced the floor. I do not know if this might be it but I am not sure. The autobody shop has all their work covred uner warrenty so I might have to take it there.

Default noise

It may be the exhaust is hitting the floor. This could be from a bad motor mount, exhaust mount, or the floor work done on the box.

I would see the body shop first or get it on a lift at a muffler shop and see for your self what's going on.

i would definitely suspect that has something to do with it. are you sure it sounds like its coming from under the car?

i had some knocking up front on bumps when i swapped out my suspension, which turned out to be the strut being too loose. if its the engine, you could always try higher octane gas..

Thanks Man. It has to be the muffler. The dealer "fixed" the muffler cuz it was vibrating. Ever since then this knocking sound happened. I bet that has to be what is the problem. The floor should be fine though. Ill have the dealer look at the muffler again.
