Default Low-Beams mistaken for High-beams?

I'm wondering if I'm the only one with this problem.

This happens to me ALL the time. At least once a night when I'm driving, but usually 2-3 times.

I'll have my lowbeams on, and people will flash me their brights, thinking I have them on.

Does this happen to anyone else?

My only thought is that they seem to point a bit high, and in other drivers eyes, so they think I have the high beams on.

Is there a way to adjust them lower?

Thanks everyone.

It's a bone stock car, so stock lighting and everything.

It happens all the time because of the short wheelbase and the stiff suspension. A search would have led to much discussion on this subject.

Sorry. I figured there must be other threads, but I searched for "high beams" and "headlights" and didn't see anything.

I'll poke around and look for something that looks like it would adjust it.

Thanks.

This happened to me more when the car was newer. I think the lights dim with time. There is a proper way to adjust the lights--maybe a search will turn it up. Basically you need to aim the lights at a wall like a garage door. You have to be level also. The driver side light gets aimed a little away from straigt ahead as I recall to avoid the oncoming driver.

They really shouldn't need readjusting cause they only seem to flash on rough roads. Mine are aimed just right and I still get flashed every so often.

I get flashed constantly, then I flash them back and I guess they feel stupid afterwards..I dunno I don't care really.

That's what I do. I keep my hand on the brights ****, and the second they flash me, I flash them back.

It's kind of fun, cause they must be thinking, "oh, I guess that wasn't their brights".

Really, it doesn't bother me at all. It's my girlfriends car, and she doesn't use the computer much, so I'm posting for her.

I try and wait to flash them back at the last second as they are passing by. That way they can't get you back. ha ha

Are the people really flashing you or is it the bounce in their suspension over rough roads making it seem like they are flashing you?

The oncoming car prob just hits a bump or dip in the road and as the car's suspension moves back up, you get that quick flash of light from their headlights. Ive noticed this numerous times both from oncoming and following traffic. Over bumpy roads, it just seems like they are flashing...

Never been flashed by oncoming drivers - but then mine are adjusted to spec. They were NOT aligned 'per the book' when I first got it, so I set 'em correctly - took maybe 5-10 minutes.

Here's one of those 'other' threads on the same topic...

Maybe the discussion should continue over there...
