Default low coolant light

Hello, My low coolant light has come on when I first start the vehicle. I have to check the level in it, but I know the radiator is full. I checked that. Would a low level in the resevior cause this?

I don't have the manual in front of me, but did you read the
manual and see what it says about this?

No, does it say this is normal. I'll have to check it when I go to lunch.

Check the manual, but I would take to the dealer to make sure it is only a light/sensor problem.

i just got mine and noticed that the same light came on in my car when i started it up this morning. im guessing it is just telling you that your engine is cold and is warming up. i just let the car idle for a minute or two (as i tried searching thru all my booklets i had with me for info on the indicator) and then the light went off. so i think it just goes on while the car is in the warm up phase.

^^^^ Yep...what they said.
It's a temp gauge. Instead of a needle, you get LED's telling you when the engine is cold and hot. No light means operating temperature.

Are you sure your not talking about the blue engine cold light- this is supposed to come on everytime you start the vehicle.
