I finally did it. I went to autozone and got the 3A Racing tip and installed it today. Not a crazy mod but it is my first. So anyway here it is...I think it looks alot better.

^^^Agreed, anything that helps to fill that large hole will work. Now just get some high heat black paint and black out the part inside the lip so you can't see the inner diameter of the tip.

my only real complaint with the tips is the fact that all the tips you see are either chrome or that funky titanium, I want one thats blacked out altogether I personally can't stand chrome, once I get the cash to get my wheels powder coated I'm getting them two toned with no silver at all

It's like once your eyes are open to a possible mod it consumes your thoughts till it's exicuted.

^^^ No kidding. I have the 4 in. cold cathodes to install but I am still missing the 14mm socket that I need. I have been thinking about doing this for 2-3 weeks. Time constraints and a little bit of fear have kept me from doing yet, but yeah I think about it everyday. This will be the first time wiring something into the car and it worries me a little. I want to give myself at least 2 hours to be able to do it but I haven't had that much time all at once yet.

The anticipation of a mod is just as fun as actually getting it done too. LOL

Gaw... I'm with you on that one. Can't stand chrome. I sit in disgust when I see that new Toyota (or Ford??) commericial totally pushing the chrome package on their trucks. Bleck!

I agree with this thread. I'm more of a performance modder though. I'd take a new catback over a new paint job anyday.

I'm rockin' a Magnaflow catback... anyone know if you can powder coat the exhaust tip or are there complications that would arise?

not sure about that, I'm not a performance guy because then you want to get on the gas a bit more, I intend to do the strup exhaust but I can't afford it and I don't want a shiny chrome tip, give me black or something like that

Looks good BoxOffice. It's kinda funny how such an easy mod can make such a big difference.

The license plate is more entertaining than the Valor tip. Haha!

Nope, it's still just you.

But seriously, I guess I should be thanking you for bringing it to my attention; I really like the way it looks.
