invest in some good cleaning supplies and keep it clean. i always get compliments on my nearly stock car just because of how clean i keep it.

look around and see if you can hunt down any green wire wrap (plastic counduit) and put a few accents under your hood.

DIY...It was basically the cost of the black paint...and the clear sidemarkers are the rears- they cost me $10 ($4.99 each).
The front sidemarkers are clear..just get some hyperwhite #194 bulbs(looks blue) to replace the yellow ones.

Yeah, for the headlights I used old scratched CDs I wasn't gonna play anymore. I measeure them out taped them down and the rest is just masking tape.

 

Paint the silver trim pieces.

I did the sharpie, but on the insert- not on the LEDS..they get too dark, and the color fades.

 

that's cool. you can change the gauge led's , change the clock led's , change the a/c led's .

The billet grill makes a nice cheap mod. You can get the three piece tie strap for about 60 to 80 bucks on ebay (if I remember correctly?). It's a nice way to add some bling to the front of the car.

^^^ Go ahead. It's just blue sharpie on the back of the white face. Took about 5 minutes.

 

I did a similar thing, but cut transparent film and put it behind the guage face so that I could undo it when i decided i didnt' like it anymore

 

evil has me paying attention......good ideas......where did you get $4.99 clear rear side markers?

 

If you are not going to replace the OEM exhaust, you may want to replace the OEM tip with an Valor tip. The OEM tip is a thin chrome covering that presents nothing to the rear view. The Valor tip is double-walled and shows a substantial amount of stainless steel to the rear, looking like an aftermarket exhaust.
