motor oil?

Default motor oil?

i plan on changing the oil myself this time around. what are the specs of the oil? is it synthetic and weight?

After I get my 3 free from the dealer I'm going to straight synthetic for the rest of my Xb's life. Amsoil or Mobil 1 are the 2 best IMO and I'll be running the Amsoil Series 2000 0w30 weight, which is good for 1 yr or 35,000 miles, whichever comes first. You still change the Amsoil filter at 6 mos/12,500 miles and top it off at each filter change. Details here: http://www.amsoil.com/products/tso.html
The engine will last monger than changing every 3K-5K with conventional oils with this regimen without problems. This stuff really works.

But, how does that affect the warranty? Won't going more than 5k between oil changes cause a problem?
