Default Mounting license plate

Greetings,

I noticed there are 2 dimples in the front bumper and behind them I can feel what might be plastic pieces that will accept a screw.

Do you just poke a hole in the bumper and use machine screws to install a license plate? The dimples are right where the plate holes are.

What's the best way to make the hole. I have the billet grills and really don't want it mounted to the grill anyway.

You'll need to buy some screw type plate fasteners and they will have the instructions for what size hole to drill.

the rear plate uses bolts and the front screws

I didn't want to ruin the bumper so I mounted it through the grill

Thru the grill rules. There's an article in the Tech section on making a bracket. It's real easy and cheap. Also there's a member here that makes a similar one. Check the Sponsored Sales area.

If you want to mount it to the bumper, it doesn't require drilling, Just some self tapping screws. Look in any auto parts store They'll have them just for license plates. Center the tip in a dimple and screw it.
