Very nice! I especially dig the dual sunroof. I have never seen that before. Welcome to the club!

Looks nice Bro! How did that rear sunroof work with the ridges on the roof? Did they have to modify the sunroof because of them?

The shop contacted Webasto and due to the low size of the ridges, nothing special had to be done. It fits quite well with no gaps. The same situation would be encountered if using the 400 ragtop model or the 524 panoramic glass roof. Webasto said the ridges would not be a problem since they are small.

I do wonder that the condition at the ridges looks like. I got a Webasto 640 sliding sunroof:
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...%20and%20Dash/
One of the shots shows the sunroof frame near the ridges. The frame is strongly clamped into the metal roof, and it seems like either frame would compress and flatten the ridge, or there would be gaps to seal.

I saw the same two-sunroof installation, two single spoilers separated by foot of roof, at Exposed 06 last weekend but did not look at the ridges. Two sunroofs have to be the spoiler kind that pop up and slide partly open, because the track for a single inbuilt fully retracting sunroof extends over the back seat, so the track is where the rear sunroof would need to be.

I heard that Webasto stopped recommending the panoramic sunroof for the xB. It was two spoilers in one long opening, and people began to have problems with xB roof being so flat and flimsy that the sunroof was distorting:
http://www.webasto.us/press/graphics...ed_192x132.jpg

And my dealer said he did not recommend the huge folding canvas sunroof because he felt it would be fragile and troublesome to repair after several years:

The only thing I wish was better about sunroofs is the headliner. You lose the indestructible rigid factory headliner, which is like thin indoor/outdoor carpet material laminated to a rigid fiberboard shell. The sunroof installer removes the shell, strips off the material, cuts the shell to accomodate the opening, track and motor, installs the sunroof, then reinstalls the cut shell around the new work, with new soft fabric stretched and bridged over everything. Like headliners of years ago, there is air under most of it, you can poke a hole in it, and it flutters with the sunroof slid open at high speed.

One thing I like about the aftermarket Webasto is that the panel fits into an anodized frame rather than directly into the roof. My relatives xA Release 1.0 is having the red paint chafed off the edges of the sunroof hole, where the panel rubs. It is down to the white primer now, and when that goes, it will rust.

Welcome to the group. The ride looks nice! You should check the thread about a pseudo-Lannsing luinch meet on July 3. I don't know offhand where Britton is.

Regarding the panoramic, it's still available for the xB. Webasto introduced a support brace which eliminated the roof buckling issue.

The roof I have is the 500 "dual". But it's really 2 separate sunroofs and a piece of matching black lexan designed to go in between the units giving the appearance of 1 piece unit. Due to the roof size, I opted to have the units split further apart. Otherwise there would be a sunroof directly behind the front seats. On my setup the placement at the rear seat is just like the front seat placement.

There is a control panel on each unit, however the front unit can control the rear and can lockout the rear control completely. The unit has the soft touch control, 2 memory settings, and automatically (can be overided) closes both roofs when the vehicle is shut off. Both control panels are softly backlit too. The backlighting matches the factory orange-amber color. If it were not for the Webasto logo, unknowing folks would think this is factory installed. Definite COOL factor. Wind noise and buffeting is much less than the sunroof in my Plymouth Voyager.

Oh and Britton is about 25 miles south of Ann Arbor. Between Milan and Adrian.

Thanks for the compliments on the new box.
