Need a buying guide for xB !!! Looking to get xB soon...
Hi,
I'm so glad that I could ask Scion experts here. I'm planing to get xB in a next month or two. I just have bunch of questions to ask, please feel free to advise me anything you think xB buyer should know. Maybe this can be a guide for all the Scion Family want-a-be!!!
If this is not the correct forum then please direct me to the correct website....I'm very new to this.. thanks all
1. Is xB still available? they are still shipping to US, right?
2. Did anyone get free optional stuff installed when they bought the xB? (I remember reading from here a long time ago that dealers installed them free which was part of the option that normally cost big money) What is that? I can't remember!!!
Is that something I should address during the conversation with the sales agent? or is that normal to get that free installed?
3. I've noticed that there is No cruise control and armrest on xB, but I read from here that some people installed them. Where can I get them? Is it expensive?
4. What are the other standard car should have that xB doesn't have? besides the cruise control and armrest. Can we still install them?
5. Getting a stock xB and then add some changes to it from auto shop or getting a xB with changes already made. Which is cheaper way to do it?
6. What kind of changes would you recommend? something that can make xB a better car in performance and comfort, not much for the look (too costly for me).
7. Is it really that bad to drive this car for long time? I hear some complaints from people?
8. Please add your 2 cents...
Thanks all,
I'll be back....

Yes, they're still making them. The '05s just came out. Besides, Scions just became available in the southeast this spring and the rest of the country in the summer.
Cruise control is listed on the website as an option.
If you mean door armrests, they're there. If you mean center armrest, no.
Don't be afraid to drive it long distances.

Ill try to be of some help.
1.Yes
2.I think the word you are looking for is labor and im not sutre
3.CC is optional and you can do a search here for "armrest" and that will give you all you need.
4. The xA has the light in the mid compartment thing
The tC i think has like a option to turbo charge it or something just go to www.scion.com for that.
5.Parts are ussualy cheaper elsewhere than factory parts.
6.If your looking for performance, the xB isn't that type of car but, if you want to do that make a thread here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=6
7.The xB is fine for driving long distance no worry. (some ppl have even taken it offroading.)
Glad if i could help :D
