Default new '06 xB door rattling noise

took delivery of a new '06 xB two weeks ago, all is well except noticing a rattling noise from the door on the passanger's side while going over 30mph. (it goes away if going uphill...) I've called Scion and they haven't got many complains about rattling noise so far...

Anyone noticed it also? if yes, any sugguestions? maybe from experienced 04-05 owners?

p.s. dealership still owes me the owner's manual + first aid kit, they were missing upon delivery...

None in mine but mine is an early 05' model. The door is not that complicated so the dealer should be able to fix it quick.
Have you had anyone ride with you to try and locate or identify the sound? Just wonderin' Good luck with it and enjoy!!!

I test drove a 2005 BSP awhile back, and although the doors didn't rattle, the hatch rattled/buzzed at idle and during takeoff from a dead stop. I thought it was the muffler at first, but my wife pinpointed it as the hatch door. These vehicles could probably benefit from ample amounts of sound-deadening material (e.g. DynaMat).

I thought I was losing it!!! I've had my xB 4 days and I've noticed it also. At least your passenger tweeter didn't come DOA. I plan on taking the xB to the dealership for tint install and possibly 3M clear bra and I will have them look at the door.

I noticed when I stick my hand between the door and pillar, the rattling stops immediately. I'm going to request they insert something in the door, or I'll just do it myself.

How does the new domelight work on the 06"? It looks like it has two seperate lights in it.

i don't think there is any change for the domelight on the '06, new radio plus the 3 wheel cover design (but uglier) my dealer still put on the '05 9-spoke on mine and I won't complain either.

The pic I saw showed two seperate lights whereas the 05' is just one. Also the 3 available hubcap styles are hideous IMO. At least those are still available if you want them. I got me a set of the phone dial bB ones from the dealer

I just checked it, only one light for '06.

Yup, I've got the same issue, and mine's an 05...right near the lock on the passenger door. Stops vibrating when I push on it. I've read in other posts that numerous people here have the same problem, some have rectified with insulation in the door or adjusting the window track.

Hope that helps!

Another mysterious "rattle" can come from the rear shoulder seat belts flapping in the wind.

G$: I have had my PW 05 XB for little over a month and I have the same problem, or should I say HAD! I address this issue in my thread here

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=80372

I isolated it to the mesh screen on the air intakes. The wind buffeting from going over 30mph causes it to vibrate. I just used a little automotive silicone to hold the screen in place.

Thanks Bro! It looked like they redesigned it for 06' on the Scion site. Just another typo like the pass side window controls

I guess that hasn't changed since the 05 models. Use the search feature and you'll find many complaints and some solutions. I just turn up the stereo.

My 06 box has a rattle in the rear right hand side as well. At first I thought it was the seatbelt, but it still rattles even with someone holding the seatbelt in their hand away from the wall.
