They gave away unknown number of xA and xB factory alloys. The xB ones were the 7 spokes and the xA ones those other ones with slpit spokes that were 15X5.5". That's why all the ones on ebay and other places for sale all the sudden.
they were giving away a bunch a stuff, mostly first gen xb and xa parts, like wheel covers, dash appliques, door sill enhancements, spoilers, fog lights, stereos, factory alarms, pretty much all the accessories you could have gotten for those two models.
i see how you could be a little upset how so many people are selling these parts instead of giving them to people who could of used them (i could have used some alloys)
but if you look at it from their prospective(their being tc, xd, and 2nd gen xb owners) they didnt have a lot to choose from besides some pedal covers or neon lights. at the show, everyone was saying how scion was gonna be raffling off or giving away a bunch of scion parts, of course people would be excited about that, but in the end only xb and xa drivers would benefit. in fact, while i was in the tent getting my parts, i heard one guy who was working at the event telling people to pick parts even if they didnt need them and to sell them on ebay.
the only thing that made me mad was a week prior to the show, i bought a spoiler for 90bucks, then i get to the show and there is one staring at me for free. aggghhh

Bottom line, if it's theirs, they have the right to do what they want with it.
Does it suck that I had to work and didn't get some free rims? yes. Am I gonna ASSUME that I deserve them more than someone else - no.

while waiting in line for the parts tent at mid ohio all i could hear was people talking what to get so they would make the most off of ebay. thats all fine and dandy I got my free parts mine are on my xb. as said before if they gave it to them then its theirs.. But I think scions intention of giving the parts away was so that they would be used on the owners vehicle. That is the way i understood the Waiver i signed. But im happy with my free parts! esp the foglights they will help this winter.
So am I bothered? i can see both sides of the argument. a little.. i don't think personal financial gain is the reason they had the parts give away IE Ebay. but im happy I got the parts I did and am grateful that they were generous enough to give this stuff away.

We were told the same thing by the Regional Scion Manager at the Chicago giveaway. Take it and if you don't want it sell it for parts you do want.
