Problem Fixed! And no more XB SHOCK!
My overhead video monito came loose so I took it apart and reinstalled it. I forgot to disconnect the battery when I did this and it blew out the fuse marked dome. The stereo, remote locks, and interior roof lighs stopped working.
I drove the car to Home Depot to get some new screws. After reinstalling the monitor, I replaced the fuse with a spare. The stereo, remote, and interior lights are working now, but the car won't start now.
I did pull out the 30 fuse marked ST, which I thought stood for stereo, but it was okay and I put it back in.
Please help! My XB won't start. When I turn the key, I can hear a few clicks and the fuel pump, but it won't turn over.

Okay, got the box back and decided, hmmmmmmmmm....I'm going to reinstall the video monitor myself. So...................1. Disconnected battery 2. mounted the roof plate 3. PROPERLY INSTALLED THE GROUND WIRE 4. Installed monitor
Okay, the interior lights don't work. There are no popped fuses, so I think maybe the bulbs got burned out. However, after properly doing the ground I noticed something big. There was a thread about people getting shocked and stuff upon exiting the car. For some reason, I noticed that after I did the ground, I don't get shocked anymore. Prior to that, everytime I exited the car I got shocked.

Do you think it may be a bad starter? I don't think it is. The car is only 6 months old.
Or mayber a starter fuse? Please help people, I want to avoid towing the XB to the dealer.

Well, I've only read about it, but it happned to me.
Had the Box towed to Longo.............it was a fuse problem. Apparantly, when I was "messing around" with the fuses, I failed to put one back in its correct place.
So..............................Tow fee: 85.00
Fuse: 5.00
Labor: 75.00
One big ___ stupid expensive mistake....................
Lesson, next time, let the pros do it..........................geeeeeeeee.

Sometimes saving a little money on a DIY project can cost more in the end. i was thinking that when I busted a sparkplug off in my engine...twice! Luckily an easy-out or 2 saved the day. Turns out my torque wrench doesn't register something as low as 13 ft/lbs. Gotta save it for the wheels only...
But as a result of this crap, I did learn quite a bit. I had to read up on grounding, the different type of fuses, but in the end, I still had to let someone else fix the problem.
All I had to do was:
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Tighten down and secure the monitor ground.
Oh well.

if you dont know enought about something, i suggest learning and becoming the pro, it will save you 75 dollars each hour you work on your car, i dont know about you, but i dont trust my car in anyones hands but mine.

did you check the battery if you left the battery connected when you took out the monitor you may of let a wire short left eough juice to run pump and make solenoid click but not turn over don't over look the simple stuff
