Has anyone had this issue where the outside air seems to still come into the cabin despite my having activated the internal air recirculation button? If so, what's the problem/fix?

Btw, the vents selected are only the vents at face/chest level (not defrost).

I started noticing strong odors in the cabin whenever I drive through a section of the city that I know to be smelly.

Probably a small leak through the firewall

One thing i did notice recently is that if i have the fan or A/C off, i don't smell the odor as much as if I have it on. Does that make any difference?
