Default Rear Bumper Applique

I like the way the black rear bumper applique looks on the xB and I like the idea of having something to protect the rear bumper, but mine is BSP and it wouldn't really show up the way it does on the TCM or LAVA. I like the JDM bB cover but its chrome and I've I've got painted silver wheels and worry it would look funny since I debadged and don't have any other chrome on the car.

Anyone have pics of the JDM cover on a BSP xB, preferrably with non-chrome/non-polished rims?

i dont know about you, but im more of the pratical person my self, really not into nothing flashy. So if you're like me, bumper applique, if not then go w/ the jdm piece.

I do like the Scion applique because it does the job its there to do, but I've heard that if you get wax on it the wax won't come off, and again, like I said, I like the contrast it gives on the lighter colour cars but it would seem like it would be pretty invisible on the BSP

I've got the Scion applique on mine, but its polar white. The wax problem is easy to avoid. Don't wax the upper part of your rear bumper. Duh. It's not as if anyone is going to notice that 5 square inches of your car that isn't waxed. The plastic bumper isn't going to corrode and rust.

The Scion applique is pretty discrete. Like EAN said, it's there to do a job and it does it well. It's more of a functional thing than a piece of "dress-up" which is why I got it. I am totally anti-rice and don't really care much for mods that make the car look dramatically different than stock because they are rarely and improvement IMO.

I'd just go for the Scion one, or better yet get some grip tape and make your own, save a few bucks. Skip the chrome "JDM" one.

Thanks for the reminder. This is a worthy mod for sure. I just got one on Ebay for $30 shipped....

As you can see I have alittle wax on mine too. But that can come off real easy.

I have the cargo liner that flips out and protects the bumper as another choice
