Has anyone removed the OEM Bumper Applique from an xB? Any suggestions? I'm going to try the hairdryer and some Goo Gone to see if i can get it started without scratching the bumper, like removing the door frame tape. I am also going to try to start in a place that will be covered by my new bumper cover in case I don't do so good.
What else am I missing?

not sure.but i want to remove mine also. when i had my bumper replaced i was hoping they didnt put that sticker back on and they did. i wanted to get the CF one instead.
I saw somebody use (i beleive) wd-40. i beleive it even says on the bottle that it is used to remove stickers. you will have to read it but i worked better than anything i have seen before.

I don't know if the Goo Gone would do that to the Fiberglas / plastic??? bumper or whatever it is made of....

Just an update for future reference. I was able to pull at the upper edge nearest the car and it came up with minimal picking at it. I peeled it 2/3rds of the way off before it partially ripped but was still able to pull the rest off essentially in one piece. The Goo Gone was semi-effective on the adhesive and whatever else created the buildup around the holes. I used my Clay Bar to get the rest off. (until I dropped it
) It looks so much better without it. Wasted money, IMO. Now to put on my new cover.
If anyone wants to pay for shipping or is in Nor*Cal and wants to pick it up, you are welcome to have the old griptape one. It ripped part way across, but may be able to be sprayed with some adhesive and reapplied if anyone wants to mess with it.

Got one sitting on my workbench, that's why I was removing this. It's just waiting for some 3M tape...

I removed mine last night. Used a heat gun (very carefully) to soften the tape and it pulled right off. Then I used a ton of bug and tar remover to get all the adhesive off. Warning this will take a long time so be prepared and be patient. It also makes a horrendous mess with all the gobs of nasty adhesive getting all over everything. After that I washed it and used Meguiar’s cleaner and topped it off with a fresh coat of wax. Looks so much better without it. Big waste of money for those thinking about putting one on. My bB chrome guard is on it's way...should have sprung for it when I could have used my $50.00 gift card, but I was too cheap....live and learn.
