Default Replace Ash Tray with....?

I am enjoying all the little storage spaces in the xB dash. I want to get rid of my ash tray but don't know what to replace it with. Any ideas? What have others done? Thanks guys.

Keep it. Carson Toyota's part depot has a JDM toyo ashtray conversion for $25.

What it is: a standard ashstray like yours only it is flocked inside and lacks the metal smoke shield.

What you should do: Pull out the ashtray. Pull off and discard the smoke shield. Flock or line the inside of the tray as you like (you could grind out the unneeded bumps inside if you like. Replace ashtray but it -won't have any stops- to its slide-out now. Not important, OR you can make limit stops of glued on blocks of rubber or wood, etc.

I know for my Isuzu truck, they have this piece that fits into the ash tray slot, and has two cup holders on the other end for holding your drinks in the cupholder-less spacecab.

Perhaps you can create something of the such on your own, using wood and chisels, much like how the garden gnomes of the sims are created.

is it big enough for a screen? or are you looking for low cost? i'd do that or set it up for a flip open storage box. or maybe wire in an led light cluster and have it kinda spray the interior floor area in the front. or... just be creative...
