Default Replacing Emergency Brake Handle

I'd like to replace my emergency brake handle with a red one with carbon fiber insert but I'm not sure how difficult this will be. Has anyone done this and if so could you please tell me how it's done? Looking at the ones on E-bay it looks like there's just two screws that attach it. Looking at the one in my car I can't tell how to remove it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here are the instructions from the "Tech" section. I have not done it, but generally found their instructions pretty good, and complete. Good Luck. https://www.scionlife.com/tech/manual/?manual=xb04_1286

If you are replacing the cover get ready to make a mess you have to cut the plastic/rubber off it is not removable in a way that it will go back on.

Good luck,Scott

Thanks for your help. This looks like more than I'm willing to mess with. I think I'll pass on this mod.

Yea its a pain in the butt, i had to sit there & cut the plastic handle with a dremmel in order to get it off. I replaced mine with a handle from MOMO. I needed to replace the handle in order for it to match with the shift **** i have.
