Rostra Cruise control Problem

Rostra Cruise control Problem
Well, after 8 years of ownership I decided to install a cruise control in my '06 xB. Took my time, double checked everything--- the install is correct. But, it doesn't work. Not only does it not work, but when I turn it on, the VSC, Trac Off, and ABS lights come on and don't go out until I shut it down and restart the car. It does this whenever I turn it on, even with the sensor wires disconnected from the computer! It doesn't do it when I disconnect it from power. I've emailed Rostra, but no response so far. Any ideas?

The cut out for the cruise control is monitored by the resistance in the brake light circuit, If you have led tail light bulbs or the Oznium LED TBL it wont function right.because of the incorrect resistance given by the leds.
There is a fix though.

Actually, your suggestion made me go back and check again. I have LED tail lights, but the brake lights are bulbs. However, while I was checking them out, I noticed the third brake light, the one at the top of the hatch, was burned out. I put in a new bulb, and the whole thing started working! I am a happy camper! I did NOT want to uninstall that thing. Thanks, Steve!
