Default Shift **** Compatability

Will the shift **** upgrade from the manual tC(eronomic, leather wrapped with mesh insert) fit on the manual xB? I absolutely hate the **** upgrade options for the xB. Thanks for the input!

They should fit. Most Toyotas have the same thread size. I recently bought a Greddy shift ****..it was for Toyota/Subaru cars...

Thanks for your reply. Anyone here actually used a tC **** on their xB? I actually added the tC **** to my upgrade list when I ordered the xB only to be told that it would not work at the dealership. I took their word for it, but I'd still love to have one.

Anyone? Sorry, that $50.00 giftcard from Scion is burning a hole in my pocket.

The xB uses a button to control the O/D whereas the tC doesn't. It has an O/D-3-2-1 shifter so they don't need the button. You just need to relocate the O/D button and you could use the ****, but I doubt a Scion shop is going to do that mod for you.

Time to DIY...

That shifter was in Ken's Box (SL name NCP31) I don't think he's still running it...

Here's a shot from the other side, that's all I got...

That is so damn sweet! Maybe add one of those really small chain steering wheels, some fuzzy dice....

I suggest getting an aftermarket ****. I bought a Momo and love it. It was a bit pricey but it feels so much better than the stock. Use the $50 gift certificate plus a little more to get the short shifter.
