Default Soun Deadening and Undercarriage Rubberizer Question.....

Okay, I have stripped out the box and laid down the eDead in two layers.

I used 3M Rubberized Undercoating underneath and in the fenderwells. It stops lots of road noise and vibrations.

I am wondering if i could use that inside too? like on the back of the interior panels?

I know I could just take it out, tape the front with several layers of tape and spray the the backs of them, but i am wondering if it really safe.

Even if I pulled the pieces and left them out to dry and air out for a few days, is there a lingering or more importantly toxic odor?

Also, could i spray a layer of it over the eDead?

What do people think of the 3M Undercoating? I'd love to protect the underside of my car from road salt, water, etc. but I'm always leery of doing things that aren't (easily) reversible.

How well does it protect? Can it be used on the inside of the outer skin of the car (is that a good idea?)? If so can you apply deadening overtop of it?

I love it.

I use it for road noise and vibration reduction.

It says you can use it in door skins and most deadening should stick to it

I would worry about the smell also. Layer of e-dead would help greatly on the panels. Outside door skin also. This BOX can be made quieter. I did engine compartment in "Bedliner" but will not use it inside, because of possible smell. I did put the Bedliner over the matt, and it seemed to stick great. Good luck, and enjoy your quieter xB. Took db measurements before/after. One layer all inside (except roof )helps a bit. Two will even be better, I am sure.
