Spinners...huh..they are so yesterday...I also laugh at them..
Hey did anyone go to the LA AUTO SHOW? there was a new wheel called the FLOATER. The concept is opposite from the spinner. The wheel itself is a solid chrome dome (kinda like the classic chevys). Then there is spinner like mount on top of it, but it seems to have a weight so they do not spin. So u will be rollin and your wheels seems like it does not spin.. I should of came up with the idea
Not for me, but for the profits...hehe

I remember seeing some show that had a rep at SEMA, and there was a 28" rim with Ben Franklin just like the C-Note in the center. The wheel was spoked behind ( you could only see about an inch around the non-moving center) and the set up was rolling, but the center was sitting still. Looked tight as all hell.
IMO, spinners are only for the big guys, Caddys, Lincs, and burbs, that and they are a West Coast thing, not very popular around these parts. But ... if thats what floats your boat, then go for it.

I'm thinking about gettin some 17" spinners but I'm not sure now from the feedback of yall... Are they that heavy that it will affect the performance of the XB? I really like spinning rims and would like to have some on my RS 1 while I'm young. By the way, these are the ones I'm thinking about...

JUST SAY NO TO SPINNERS. BUT,....on the other hand, if i was rockin the stock hubcaps I would definately switch those out for some spinner hubcaps. I saw one with them by my house and they actually work! and have the same effect!

If you have enough coin to throw at some spinnies and then turn around and buy something else in a few months when you get sick of them, go for it.
Spinners seem like bumper stickers to me; No matter how clever they are, they get tired fast. Again though, if ya got the dough to buy 2 times, I say it's worth it.
