Default Steering Wheel Emblem

Does anyone know where to get the bB Toyota "T" emblem for the steering wheel? I want to change it out with my Scion one.

It is an entirely different steering wheel. You'll need the JDM wheel or the '02-04 Camry SE wheel to duplicate the look. I purchased the airbag from Ebay, now I'm looking for the wheel itself.

But now I'm changing my mind. I may just use some bondo to fill in the "SCION" portion of the badge and have it sprayed chrome again. While I do not like the Scion emblem, I'm thinking twice about the consequences of putting in an airbag from another vehicle.

airbags are scary but can save your life. if you're really serious about changing the logo on your steering wheel than go ahead but also whatever happens to you and you get injured by bondo or something from covering the emblem the insurance company will investigate and drop your claim so be careful

i had an airbag blow on me and the way it tore it almost took off a cheap sticky gel emblem into my face

here's a shot for a vendor or manufacturer to make an overlay (NOT VINYL) that covers the factory scion emblem and uses the Toyota or bB emblem design. I'd order one myself!

There was someone on here who swapped steering wheels with someone with a bB. He may have been from Guam or something, it doesn't seem like it was to Japan...

Personally, I don't think it's worth the risk to mess with that stuff...

I took the emblem off and it wasn't fun. it is held in by plastic legs with a mushroom end that holds it to the airbag cover. I took a small flathead to start prying up on the emblem. if I had small needle nose cutters it would make cutting the legs alot easier. I used a small pick tool to break the legs off. I slipped with the pick and scratched the airbag cover, not too bad but it is noticable is you catch it right. I painted the emblem and glued it back on. when I did all of this i had the airbag out of the xB so I could get a better angle on the emblem. I wouldn't reccommend this for everyone since you are working around the airbag, but it made a big difference in the look.

I didn't get any pics of taking off the emblem just in case I messed it up bad I didn't want any evidence, the wife would kill me. the silver sides are plastic welded on the back so don't pry on them. you will have to tape off the steering wheel to paint the sides.

You can swap airbag covers with someone with an ist or something. Or you can totally change steering wheels...

I didn't want to paint the emblem very dark because I wanted the "scion" to show through. you can take the airbag off by remove the 2 torx screws on the side of the steereing wheel, I believe they are t-30 or t-25. I disconnected my battery just in case.
