Default Tire Blowout Today :(

Well, I was driving on the interstate doing about 70 and bam I ran over something. I don't know what it was but it did some serious damage. I have a hole about the diameter of a quarter and all the way through the tire. I just got my xb like a month ago so the tires are pretty much brand new. And, I only have like 1,300 miles on my car. And this happened on a stock wheel. My question is this, is my tire under any kind of warranty? I looked in the warranty booklet and it didn't say anything. I am bummed now. My xb is not happy with a donut on it.

Call the dealership and ask. The dealership I bought my Matrix from replaced the wheel and tire for me.

I had the same thing happen to me. I called the dealer and they said it was not coverd because it was a road hazard. then I called good year and they said it would be coverd if it was a manufacturing defect. so I took it to good year and they said I ran something over so I had to buy a new tire.

oh yeah... and I would like to kick whoever thought it was a good idea to put the jack under the drivers seat. I was standing with my back to the highway trying to get the jack out with big semi trucks whizzing by me.. not safe

Because the bolt you turn to loosen the jack is on the left side of the driver's seat.

CLimb in the back seat and slide the driver's seat up...

It's not covered under any type of warranty, but I'd do like Squirrel said and call the dealer. They may have some takeoffs from wheel upgrades that they might help a customer out with. Just a thought... Worth a call.
