Trailer hitch + lowered box
I have a Curt hitch on a regular height 06. My bike carrier does hit when backing in to my slightly inclined driveway. Angled approach works fine, though. You could temporarily fab a "simulated" hitch out of wood and check the clearances first hand before investing in a hitch.

The hitch alone is about $93.00. But you also need a draw bar and wireing kit. Everything was about $150.00 with shipping from http://www.etrailer.com/ . I tow with a automatic but you should be fine with a 5 speed. All I tow is a 4X8 trailer with two dirtbikes on it. It still will cruise at 80 mph with no problems but if you have an aftermarket exhaust the noise is very loud inside. I try to keep it around 65-70 mph.
