Anyone Undercoat their XB?? Did you do it at the dealer or goto a local place?? The dealer here at Falls Church VA wants to charge $695!! That seems drastically high. Im pretty sure I got my 2004 Spec V for around $250 up in Canada. The stuff the toyota garage uses is suppose to be this new high tech stuff. Any suggestions Thanks Scott

Flames9, you are undercoated, from the factory. When you wash your box, your drying towel mighr pick up some dark tar like slime from under the skirts. That is it. Another undercoating might help, but it is not worth $690. If your after market coating helps with road noise, than it may be worth $250, but You will be O.K. without it.
Note to newbies: Your cabin air filter tray is empty! Scion does not provide one. They sell one for $22. Go to a parts store and get one for $12, you may need to say that you have a 2004 xb, same tray, same filter. Then go to tech section, see thread called Air Cabin Filter to see how to pop the glove box out and access the tray. Regester your box in the regestry section.
Where did you buy? I almost bought in Fairfax, but Manasass has an enterprise zone, so I paid 3.25% sales tax at Miller Scion. What tax rate did you pay, the full 4.5%?

Thanks for the info xBhawk!! Were paying 3.17% sales tax rate. Bought at fall Chruch VA Toyota/Scion. I did rate them already. All seemed well, they werent pushy and punched various numbers for us. Only thing I was suprised on was the high price of their super duper special high tech under coating!!
