warranty ?'s
Just purchased an 06 Xb and bought the extended bumper to bumper warrenty that covers it until 2013 or 100,000 miles. My question is what can you do to the car without affecting the warrenty? Specifically lowering the car. Is anything TRD covered?
Bare with me I'm new
Thanks alot!!!

Long version:

(a good read)
Short version: nothing you do will "void" your warranty. The only time it becomes an issue is if you have a problem with your xB that is caused by a non-OEM part that you had installed, the repairs for that problem would not be covered under the warranty. But your warranty still exists and doesn't get voided - just certain repairs may not be covered under warranty...

ok hers a quick run down for you. osm people here are rude but ill be nice for you.
if its bumper to bumper you got then thats what you get. everything except tires, brakes, and any other wear and tear part of a car arent covered.
whtats not covered is for example,
if you put springs on a car it will void the Suspension warranty and not the whole car. if you put an exhaust on the car thats not a TRD installed by the dealer, the exhaust warranty wont cover it.
but if you want to spend gobs of money for little horse power and maybe a lower stance, buy the TRD form the dealer and have them install it, that will be covered in the bumper to bumper warranty.
did you buy your scion as a certified used car at toyota?

when i bought my car back in 04 new, it stated that if you buy a TRD item after purchase (i.e. Sport shifter, struts, springs etc) if they would fail under their own power (if thats an easy way to say it) that its covered for one year only.
im also refering to brand new Dealer installed parts. but were all correct here
I worked at a BMW dealer for a few years. lots of things void warranty

TRD parts are warrantied for 1 yr by TRD. So that's kinda like the manufacturer thing that pooder was talking about. And if I recall, TRDSparks has a little bit on their webpage that if you have a TRD part installed by the dealer, it will actually be warrantied for 1 yr or the remaining length of your vehicle's warranty.
Of course as you say, some dealers are total douchebags... so YMMV, as always.
