The only comments/funny looks seem to come from lifted full size truck guy. Wife and I were going up north last weekend and lifted truck guy gave a little laugh and finger point over to us as he downshifted to go up the hill(we were doing just fine in 5th)...later started to snow and traffic slowed down to a snails pace/stopped completely. We passed him a little while later as his tires were spinning(along with many other 2wd trucks/rear-wheel drive sedans). I made sure he saw us go by.

Bread box on wheels. I've also gotten the "nice car" compliment many times. And "how much does that car cost?" I say, "about 16,000 thousand". Then they ask, "with the rims and sound system?" Then I say, "NO!"

I had a good one today, I was sitting in the Subway parking lot looking through my CDs for something to listen to before I started my car and got on the road and this old lady scared the ____ out of me by walking by my window, I had not noticed her because it was dark and I watched as she walked up to the front of my car and looked at the Badge, I have it rebadged with a custom badge that says FREAK so she stepped a little bit closer to study it and bent down a little, just as she did I turned on by brights and scared the ____ out of HER! then she came up to my window and apologized and gave me the third degree about my car . I am almost getting sick of that, wait, nope, I love it! thats why I bought it!

The big boss where I work said it looked like a Flintstones car or something Benny Hill would drive.

We need to get a poll on which insult was said the most

But anyways, i mostly get the "shoe box", "mini skool bus" or "what's a skyon xB?" eventhough i would correct them after they make a fool of themselves for a few minutes.

I hate to break it to everyone, and I flipped when I saw it. But according to Kelly Blue Book, the xB is considered a wagon!!!!!
As in the same family as a freakin station wagon!!!!......not cool

Uhm, yeah, mine is registered as a 'small wagon' check your registration, yours probably is too. Consumer Reports also calls it a 'small wagon' the BEST one as a matter of fact (oh yeah!)

Don't worry about it being classified as a wagon. It keeps your insurance down.

On some other car forum where they were discussing/bagging on the Scions, someone said "I hear they save a lot on freight because they can stack them..." I thought that was pretty good, might even explain the price structure:

The xA's cost the least cuz they just stuff one inside each xB before they load the boat. The xB's aren't too pricey cuz they can save space stacking them (including an xA inside). The tCs are the most expensive because it's like trying to stack footballs or something. they probably just load one layer on a boat and ship it out...

Not sure if I pointed it out earlier, but I read an article that
calls these type of cars Urban Utilitiy Vehicle. I like that
one as well. CUV also suits well.
