Default Whistling XB

Please help me figure this out. My wifes '05 XB has an annoying whistling sound. We can hear it while driving with the windows down. It isn't like a brake squeal, it is more like a wind noise. It seems to do it more when you are on the throttle. It has the AEM intake but still thats not normal so I don't think that is where it is coming from. Help me if you can. Thanks.

It may simply be wind noise. Does it increase with speed? Most trucks, SUV's and vans (read boxy) suffer from wind noise.

My RS2 makes a similar noise to what you're describing. My noise seems to be coming from the power steering pump. The noise increases with the throttle and when say driving up to or away from a drive thru window, it sounds like a loud winding, wistling.

Bad power steering bearings?
