Why IN-channel is INFERIOR

I am unsure on which JDM visors to get, the Toyota (original) or Esams (improved version). The Toyota version doesn't have that curvature in the middle and has a lighter "tint" compared to the Esams. MyAutofashion.com has both in stock in Torrance, CA (in stock when I was there last Friday picking up my crystal "shower" *****. Call them first. It's not on their online catalog:

How's the wind-noise level with partly open windows since the e-sams have that air-flow channel on them? Also, is the plastic pretty thick and durable? I'd hate to drop 200+ on something that might end up cracking or breaking.

There is a low level of wind noise with the window open partially. It is more like a wind song. It is about the same level of noise that you hear with no visor. The ESAM's have a rubber sqiggie at the bottom of the front visors that touches the window.
When the window touches this rubber gasket thing the road noise is greatly reduced. The JDM ventshades for $270 do not have this and cannot seal out road noise. See the photos in this thread. I tried to show how the window touches this gasket even if open about 3 inches. $230 is a huge price to pay and I am sorry that we can't pay about $100 for this kind of quality, but once the money is spent, you will feel better. ESAM's plastic is solid and thick.

does someone have pics of the weather techs? i cant remember which ones have the part that comes down past the mirror. (on the xb)
i have ruled out getting the vent visor brand, and now i'm deciding between the weather tech, and wade brands.

These are the weather techs and I had them on my 04 almost 2 years before I took them off and put them on my Envy. I have never had any clunking or problems what so ever. The little plastic thingy that sticks out on the 06 window frame didn't match the dimple of the visor but I just moved it to fit. I heated up the Weather Tech stickers and they came right off.
I have got the Wade in-channel set and I am happy. I believe they were well made. I got them in December so I can't speak about summer. But they make sesnse to me. Different strokes for different folks.
