Default Window Switch Cover piece Removal?

Does anybody know how to remove the silver Window Switch Covers on the Doors? Do you have to take the door panel off?

Also does the silver ring around the shifter come out easy?

There's a DIY tech article here on shift **** removal. It's very easy, I've done it myself to put in a MOMO ****. Check it out.

Yes, you have to take the door panels off for the switch covers but it's real easy...

Check the tech section for good articles on getting to many of these spots and more.

something I don't think is covered well in the 'how to take off the doorpanel' kind of tech stuff is that to pop the switch cover, you need to put a screwdriver in the MIDDLE of the front of the cover, under the lip, and push in and up. otherwise the clip won't come out. Do *not* pry it out by the back. You *will* break the tongue that helps anchor the back.
