Default xB shakes and slow acceleration

I am hoping someone else has had this problem and knows what the solution is.

About 4 weeks ago I was driving home and within about 5 minutes my 05' xB started shaking and jerking and would not go more than 10-20mph. For some reason it "fixed" itself about 10 minutes later, but every time I stopped at a red light it would start shaking again.

It took 2 days for a check engine light to come on. (Also 2 lights for traction issues came on at the same time.)

My father spends as much free time as he has working on it. He has talked to a few dealerships and replaced a few parts, but nothing seems to fix the problem.

It will drive at normal speeds now, but you can't trust it to accelerate every time (the response time from pushing the gas varies). Also the shaking continues...it's not as bad as the first day, but not much better either. Worse if you turn the ac on.

Please forgive me for my ignorance ahead of time, as I do not know much about cars.

So what's the fault code? And what parts exactly have been replaced so far?

Check your cv shafts. Or also known as axles

MAF sensor could be bad. If it is, your engine doesnt get a good amount of oxygen and thus you get rough idles and limited acceleration.

Check your Mass Air Flow sensor on the intake.
