i just got in my hid kit in. it was the ddm slim ballast kit i will post pictures of the install later. and some pics of what they look like at night they were really easy to put in. and oh yeah the ballast are really really small like less then a half inch thick and like 2x3 we are talking small

 

i've seen the small ones before. a friend of mine got HIDs last week from bestdubs and the smaller ballasts look much nicer

 

yeah and they are black and discreet not multi colored neon like most companys i had to do some mod to get them to fit cause where you plug your stock pigtail into the ballast didnt line up right so i had to do some trimming

 

are these the 55w ballasts?

There is a big difference between a 35w ballast and a 55w ballast. When you said DDM, I'm assuming you meant DDMTuning.com. They are big HID sellers on my other bimmer forum. I am thinking about throwing some 55W HIDs in my XB, but don't know if that would be TOOOO bright?! Or is there such a thing as TOOO bright??! LOL.

 

they are 35 wat i just looked and they are pretty bright i didnt know there was a difference oh well lol but they are still very very bright
