So I have got a few people asking about the painted black headlights. I am thinking of buying a extra set of headlights and doing a buy/swap out. What do you guys think? I know alot of people do not want to take the risk of them warping/melting or anything like that. So I would paint them what ever color they wanted and ship them with a deposit on getting theirs back. I have a feeling the headlights from the dealership are not cheap at all though. I am going to find out today. What do you guys think?

 

It sounds like a good idea NL. I guess it just depends on:

How expensive the headlights are from the dealer
How much you charge for your service
How many times it would take you to turn a profit
Some type of quality control to make sure no one sends you back crappy conditioned headlights

Also, if the headlights are expensive, I would imagine you would have to charge a pretty steep deposit to protect yourself when you ship the mod'd ones out and wait for the customer's stock ones.

 

i would be interested in doing this NL. Ive always wanted to paint my headlights but haven't had the time or the knowledge to do it...This would really help me if you did that

 

Not clear on what kind of paint you guys are going use.Not sure if you guys are talking about the spray to smoke the headlight, tailights.But if you guys are i might be able to help.I did mines, though they were to dark so call the dealer to see how much for new ones.About $330 each is what they said, so about $600 for the pair.I ended up buying the ebay with the led and angel eyes.They working good so far and like the look.I still have the other ones sitting in my garage.Removed the paint of it last weekend.So let me know if theres anyway i could help..

Yeah I figured they would not be cheap at all. I will call and see what I can get them for if any cheaper. Damn that is alot of money though also.
