Help putting on new headlights
Hey guys,
Can you help me out , I just bought new headlights for my XB2 and I need help installing them, Do I have to remove the front bumper completely? How do I remove the grill first? Some pointers would be great.
Thanks this will be my first time installing anything on my XB and I want to do it right, If you know what I mean.

The front bumper has to come off. There's some bolts on the inside of the fender along the edge, as well as some quarter turn fasteners. There's also some bolts on the bottom edge of the bumper. The grille is easy! There's the clips, pop out the clips, then there's a couple bolts. Grille first, then bumper, then headlights.

you dont have to pull it all the way off. I did mine without it, But then again it will make it easier for sure. I can take the front end off mine in about 5 minutes now. I know exactly what you have to do and in which order.
There is about 8 10mm bolts on the botto. 2 10mm bolts in the fender wells, Quarter turn bolts in the fender, then 4 10mm bolts up top, first you have to pull the plastic clips to get the air diversion panel off, then there is one big clip and 10 mm bolts under it. Then the grill pops off. Now you pull the 2 larger clips on the outside of the grill area right next to the headlight along with the other 2 10mm bolts and you should be set to pull the bumper off.

In order to get the two headlights out you will have to remove the front bumper, as there are bolts underneath the headlights(behind the bumper), and a bolt on either side where the bumper and fender meet(hidden behind the bumper) - have fun...
