Passenger side headlight dim

Hey all-I'm having an issue with my passenger side headlight. There is something going on that is making it be significantly dimmer than the driver's side. When I first bought the car the passenger was dimmer than the driver's side. I figured the bulb was screwed up so I replaced it with an equivalent bulb. It was still dimmer so I figured I just screwed up and bought the wrong bulb. Well the driver's side bulb burnt out yesterday and I put the 2nd bulb from the 2 pack I bought in and guess what? The driver's side is still much brighter with 2 bulbs from the same package. Are there any known issues with the headlight assemblies, something electrical, or........? Any help, suggestions, or advice appreciated. Thank you!!!
