Stainless steel goes with all colors not just black. I am getting them for my PW Gen 1 xB.

.....polished stainless has the same luster as chrome but will not pit, peel, flake off , is not brittle and does not require polishing. Just wipe down with a micro fiber cloth and window cleaner.

I would definately say chrome plated will look and sell alot better

U know it wouldn't look to bad if you made pieces that went all the way around the window like that.
Chrome plated that you are comparing this trim to is often thin plate over plastic or aluminum that will pit and rust.

These trim pieces also protect the rubber from bacterial rot in the South which is common even on new cars...these microbes literally start colonizing the rubber and eating it! In the west the sun just dries it out.


These are high quality pieces that are a lot less maintenance than the chrome trim people are thinking of. As mentioned they are designed to look great and protect the rubber. That is one reason it covers the bottom only the other reason is that stainless around the entire window would kill the look and be costly.
