Those part numbers are the front and rear emblems. thats all i replaced. the front PLATE looking thing is what i pulled off the SCION emblem and placed the new toyota emblem on.

 

how do you remove the front emblem of the xb?!?!?!?!

 

pull off the plastic shroud above the grill. reach your hand behind the emblem and squeeze together the long black tabs along the edges, squeeze gently. Entire backing plate and emblem comes off.

Question... and I don't mean to thread jack but it's still concerning the emblems... the rear xB emblem on my '11 does not have any pegs in it... I want to remove it but I don't want to have any holes.

 

Yes the "xB" emblem has no alignment holes.

The xB logo, when relocated via 3M tape, does draw your eye/attention to the '11-'12's narrow upper grill...

 

I have a 2012 xb too, what badge did you used for the front and rear? from 2007-2009 corolla?

 

I've had the SE logo from my old gen 3 camry on mine since new....

Yes, I was influenced by either your SE and/or the guy with the TRD in the front grill .

Now if I could only find the preeetty chrome TRD (MS010-00002) for like $100-off regular price...

 

how does the front front emblem come off? is it just clipped to the bumper? just wondering because the rear emblem is held with clips and 3m tape.

 

The front black backing plate is simply tab-clipped into 4 slots in the bumper recess. Just take the top cover off the upper grill by carefully prying up the center pin on the 4 expanding plugs and reach down to press the tabs in slightly. Then you have to separate the Scion emblem from the backing plate by just either pulling apart or fishing line sawing through the 3M tape. The new Toyota emblems come pre-taped and the two pins (not clips) each fit perfectly into the holes in the backing plate and rear hatch.

Note, if you buy the Rumion front badge, then you have to cut out a trapezoidal hole in the center of the front bumper recess to accomodate the rearward depth and afix with 3M tape.

 

I may have to get. The Sienna rear badge and the Rumion front badge. It looks good! Thanks for all the info!
