I may be showing my age, but it really reminds me of the old Land Rovers, of African safari fame back in the 60's. Really great build guys! It's good to see a car company support our troops. I'd say once those guys (and women too) get out, Scion needs to have them on the design team.

Thank you. We really wanted our xB Assault to be a ruggedized off-road version and I can't think of any other vehicle that personifies that more than the old Land Rovers aside from the Jeep.

There all wheel drive in Japan. I'm like 98% sure.

oh and nice job. I'm down with the Jurassic Park feel.

Yes they do offer an AWD version in Japan. A couple of the team members have family on main land and Okinawa. We tried to source the rear drive from Japan but got shut down when our congress demanded that the Toyota's president, Mr. Akio Toyoda, appear before them this summer. There was also hefty import taxes so we just went with stateside parts we could source.

I have to say that I am impressed with all the builds... It's cool that all three teams came up with such different ideas for their builds and they ALL came out amazing! Love the all wheel drive, would love to take that off road! I love the body fabrication of the saltydogs, and the paint job on that was brilliant (love sailor jerry style artwork so that totally made me drool), and the topless cruiser had such a Floridian contemporary/retro feel with all the lights and redone interior... Props to ALL of you! And even more props for being supportive of eachothers teams! On top of all that, thank you all for keeping our country safe! My thoughts are with all of you!

I am very interested in the roof rack that was used for the xb assault where can I buy one? And if I can't buy one is it possible to get the specs sent to me ? so I can weld my own ? I'm a fire fighter, so having a roof rack with lighting on it is a crucial aspect In my line of work. It's not a want, I need to have that roof rack. Haha

I really really really want to do this. I have said from day 1 owning my xB that it should be AWD w/a Turbo option.
