Is Beck Arnley Red Concentrate coolant OK?
I recently changed the radiator in the girlfriends 06 xA, I used Beck Arnley Toyota/Lexus and Scion red concentrate with distilled water 50/50. Now I am seeing I should have used Pink 50/50. I think the Beck Arnley Pink 50/50 is the same as Toyota as is the Red concentrate.
My 2013 xB takes the same I believe. Am I OK with the Beck Arnley Red concentrate in both cars? Should I use the Pink 50/50 instead? What is the difference? I believe the Beck Arnley coolants to be the same stuff as Toyota house brand.
Please advise...thanks!!

No, they are not the same. The red is an older formula for Toyota engines that have brass parts in the coolant system and it lasts 5yr/50K miles. The pink cannot be used on coolant systems with brass in them as they will eat the brass and cause leaks. It is also super long life and is suppose to last 10yr/100K miles. That said I don't think you'll have any issue running the red in cars designed for pink, it's going the other way that is a problem. You'll just need to change the coolant more often.
