How do you check coolant in reservoir??
OK...it is getting colder and I wanted to make sure my coolant will protect at low temps, I tried to use my coolant bulb tester but my 2013 xB reservoir will not allow a straight shot of the hose into the tank to draw out the coolant.
I unhooked the overflow hose and couldn't get to the fluid either. Looks like the return hose would do, but all the fluid would run out if you took it off. There has to be a way to get at the fluid with my tester somehow???
Can anyone help?

Not really as that isn't an overflow tank. It a surge tank and is actually part of the main coolant system.. The 2nd gen xB doesn't have an overflow tank and is a sealed system. Since the factory coolant is meant to last 10yr/100K miles you should be ok as long as it is between the min and max levels. You could possibly siphon some out of the surge tank or try to access it at the Y connector over the exhaust heat shield.
