yea the sellers didn't want to just sell the pieces of it. i was really hoping for that. i asked one shop to replace it or an est. and he said honestly? i would try to find it. its not gonna be cheap at all. i got this exhaust from a different manufacture as well.

I guess this is another case of getting what you paid for. On the bright side, $125 for a complete S-pipe back exhaust is dirt cheap. Keep the spare pieces, you may need them too someday.

yea i just might hold onto em. There is also a reallllllly good chance I damaged that exhaust by putting the car into not optimal situations Deep med/ high curbs/ general mischief.

Sounds like kind of a gamble situation ! Around $125 could be spent on either a replacement set of pipes, or a known quality resonator install. Perhaps it's partially a question of whether you're happy with the sound you had or would prefer something a little different? If a little different, perhaps the resonator manufacturer (not the Ebay guy) can make a recommendation given your car info? Just a thought!

Good idea. my current system from the seller speed daddy on ebay. several others had tried and it from what i've heard no problems. what i really wanted to do was get a dual exhaust but looking at 300 plus for a "name" exhaust system is just too far out of my reach. also i LOVED the sound of the current system. not raspy like a traditional 3" real nice deep tone at idol and mean when it hits 5k. not like those fart cans.

Yeah, I got a dual and it wasn't cheap ! If the sound works and others have no problems, perhaps you were just unlucky, here's hoping that changes for the better. Best wishes dude !

Today I replace the 2011 xB OEM muffler for single strait pipe made by Borla and I love it. I love the little rumble sound by just standing at idle I think it should be stock in all xB2’s and when you drive crossing town is just feel right by making a rumble sound that is not laud at all but making a sound indicating that you have some juice under the hook. And in the highway does not make the sound like you have a trumpet in you rear end is just below of a regular loud after marker muffler. I can see already saving gas since I don’t have the back pressure of the gases been hold by the OEM muffler, I notice that the acceleration is a little more responding for the same reason of not having the rear pressure of the OEM muffler and the downshifting of the automatic transmission is so cool that you can hear a nice and different tone of the rumble of the exhaust coming out of the rear end...

^^ that is one benefit of a new exhaust sound is great. since what you have is axle back its a nice piece. if you ever want a fuller more bassy sound. get a catback system like the one i posted. ooooo the difference it makes

I would like to get a full cat back, but my xB2 come with automatic transmission and I am concern with just making a lot of noise and the single Borla strait pike is the same diameter of the stock pike.

Don't count on saving gas -- expect it to be unchanged, or if you're inclined to get on it a little more now, then worse!

So, are you familiar with the Borla single rear pike? Do you think that if I put a cat-back but only the middle section would work ok?
