I bought a 2008 5speed XB and it has been running fine first couple weeks then recently it will die at a light, I didn’t kill it, clutch was in… then when I’m on freeway with cruise control… at 65.. I hit a bump in road and it loses power and rpm’s drop, I press on gas and it sounds bogged down and won’t accelerate. Then it dies so I restart it and throw it in 3rd and try to get back uo to 65. It will run for awhile then loses power again… does anyone have any guesses what this could be? No check engine light.
thank you!

Sounds like it could be a loose power or ground on the battery or possibly the main chassis ground under the airbox. Just on the off chance have you verified that the check engine light does work? As in does it come on for a second when you start the car? Just asking in case the previous owner disabled it to hide a problem.

Might be a vacuum leak or could be an issue with the PCV/hose. Have seen this issue a bunch on my old platform due to the PCV hose getting a tear in it.
