Default TRD Supercharger questions. Plus Dyno graphs.

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while. Ive been busy, but the other day there was a car show sponsored by Injected performance. They had there dyno out there for $40 bucks I got 2 pulls. Heres picture of my graph. My mods so far are CAI, and catback exhaust. its also a 5 speed.

^ Thats just for eye candy. Here's the real question. I plan on buying the TRD supercharger kit off my friend, but its for a TC. I called up the dealership and they said they have to use the tC reflash and it may cause some problems. Anyone ever do this swap?

im sure most of the responses you get will be
"trd s/c is crap" but your car your money imho
however if u decide to do it im sure it wont be bolt and go i see $ signs in your future. and if u go though all that trouble dont settle for a trd flash just shell out the cash and buy a piggy back and get a real tune.

Stay far away from the TRD s/c, its junk. If you want boost, go turbo.

I would love to go turbo, but to much money. Once I graduate and get my bachelors I will be moving on to something nicer also. Nothing against the xB, I love it to death, but I was promised a new car once I graduate so.

But is the S/C that junky? the only reason why I thought about getting it was because I am getting a steal of a deal for it. What type of problems did it cause? Anyone ever blow there engine from it?

The tc charger is different from ours it won't work if u want to go boost just turbo it or nitrous a 75 shot is fine and will be faster then the super charger I'm turboed making almost 400hp to the wheels on 14 psi

were the chargers modified..
im willing to bet yes....

if the chargers are untouched and installed right......
there will be no problems....
but when people are dumb and try to push a unit thats not meant to be pushed.. thats when you have problems......

i know 11 people in my surounding area....
7 of them are untouche... still kicking like a champ....
all of the other 4 have different pulleys or.... what ever.. and there ____ is blown up....

its not the unit that is faulty....
toyota/vortech was very clear on what the unit can handle...
thats why they put locking keys on the 07+ units..
because they new people were swapping out the pulleys , then blowing up there ish... and swapping them back.. and tryn to get the warrenty to cover it)
trust me... i made the mistake on buying a s/c and that was taking off 2 months after owning it... i went with a big snail..... i wanted more power...
