I ask this because I'm in need a oil change, since I got my car brand new from a dealer, so the very first time should be back to their hand for sure, not sure if I need to use their oil, or my own aftermarket oil instead.

 

Use regular dino oil for 5-10k miles and then use Mobil 1 and their filter, thats what I did. Cant to wrong with synthetic! Its really up to you tho...

I just changed my oil this Saturday and I used CASTROL Syntec Y SAE 5w-20 with a PUROLATOR Pure One oil filter. Advanced Auto in my town is running a special; 5 quarts of oil with Filter for $24.99. Pretty good since the filter retails for $5 and the oil is $6.99 a quart. Took me less than 10 minutes to do the oil change.

Pennzoil dino and a stp or supertech filter every 5k miles because of the warranty. Once its done I'll get synthetic and a m1 oil filter and go 10-15k miles before an oil change.

 

Gonna use Mobil1 0w-20

Been using it in my 07 Sonata 2.4L with great results and oil analysis. Going in the xB at 10000 miles.

 

Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 with OEM Filter.

Can only get that oil online... www.oil-store.com

 

The 5w-20, which is easier to find also offers GREAT wear numbers.

 

I use the cheapest decent dino oil and Supertech oil filter. I get both from Walmart.
